In what dosage are meglitinides available

Repaglinide is available in 0.5, 1 and 2 mg tablets. It is administered at a dose of 0.5-4 mg before each meal and has an elimination half-life of one hour. It is excreted in the stools. It can be used as monotherapy in individuals with Type 2 DM who cannot control their disease with diet alone, or it can be used in combination with metformin.

Nateglinide is available in 60, 120 and 180 mg tablets. It is usually administered at a dose of 60-120 mg before each meal and has an elimination half-life of 1.4 hours. 80 percent is excreted from the kidneys and 10 percent by the stools. It can be used in combination with metformin.
