(3) OBESITY- BMI>30 and/or elevated WHR(> 0.90 in males, 0.85 in females)

(4) Microalbuminuria (overnight urinary albumin excretion rate> 20 ^g/min

WHO requires a person to have Type 2 diabetes or impaired glucose tolerance and any TWO of the above criteria. A person with normal glucose tolerance must demonstrate insulin resistance (see Table 1).
